Project:
Southeast Pump Station Improvements
Client:
City of San Antonio
This project provides for the total rehabilitation of this facility. GAI is providing the design services for both the electrical distribution and controls as well as the instrumentation and controls. Utility power was routed at 34.5kV underground to 34.5kV/480Y 277Volts – 3 phase pad mounted transformers. From these transformers underground service was routed to an outdoor switchboard. This switchboard serves two indoor switchboards. Both switchboards are configured with Main-Tie-Tie-Main manual transfer mains and sized to handle the entire load. Initially there are four 200HP and three 100HP pumps. All pumps are provided with free standing reduced voltage solid stated starters.
